SWAG AAT (Art Around Town) will be having a mixed exhibition. Follow the Five Element Mosaic Trail around the large walled garden at Henry House created during the July 2008 SWAG Festival by local mosaicians aged 3-70. The 26 pieces represent aspects of the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine. This community project was lead by Marina Burgess supported by Sue Hawksworth.
The garden also features sculpture by Batbileg Darjaa, a Mongolian artist and students from Oak Grove College with a special guest appearance of their recently unveiled lifesize 7 foot Polar Bear. The Bear was created under the direction of Tone Holmen who will also be showing work inside Henry House. Cherrie Taylor’s beautiful silver jewellery will be available in reception. The show includes oils, photography, prints, textiles, collages, watercolours, Mongolian Nagtan painting and much more besides.
