The drawings of Alessandra Pisi explore the chaos of liquidity and chance marks. Her paintings are landscapes of marks and transparency. She says "My work is trees from a hillside in the fog, the pine trees of Rome, reflections in water, stories and codes, Cinecitta, films, the sixties, movement through dimensions, playful storytelling, rememberance and regret, loves and whispers, laughter and drinking, Grappa and the aroma of coffee. . "
Iain Macpherson is an Arte Povera sculptor and installation artist. He fashions the available light with found objects, freely available materials and pieces of technology.
Agneska Krusovice is a Prague-born artist. She wants to express the poetic character of things, often combining poetry with her painting. In doing so, she is paying her respects to the spirit of Poeticism - the 1920`s and 1930`s avant garde of Czech art. In what she sees as his next stage of development, magical realism (2000 to the present) she joins a body of classical artists who have drawn the Madonna and Child. She calls this the new synthesis.
Jenni Watson is a painter fascinated by colour, her soft washes reminiscent of the abstract expessionism of Rothko. The inspiration for my paintings comes from my love of colour, of nature in general, and of the seashore and horizons in particular. I work mainly with oils and acrylics and am always experimenting with new techniques, which means that my works are constantly evolving and changing. I claim no deep and meaningful rationale for my paintings – they simply are – but I do hope they evoke positive emotions and feelings in the viewer.
